Today was the Wee Kim Wee Challenge held at Camp Christine. Basically, from what I know, this is about a cooking competition trying to see how well we can make use of herbs and the condition of our garden :). There were two cooks and two presenters from each coy. They were all from the gardening patrols, Flowerpecker and Sparrow but somehow I was in it. :)
For Coy 1, they were cooking a dish called Chicky Patty as they made use of chicken patties shaped into hearts for their bugers. Coy 2. cooked Fried Beehoon with Vegetables. I was the presenter :). There were 2 sessions of practising. The first seesion basically was for the presenters to take photos of the garden while the cooks went to try out cooking. For the next session, cooks from both coys improved :D! Then the presentors were taking photos of them cooking. We also had to prepare the script and the board for the presentation.
For today, it was much the same as our practises, except that the cooks can cook on a table and not on the ground :) and we had to place our transplanted herbs on the table to be judged. I was actually working solo at first because Vivien was sick and could not make it so when Farizan finished cooking, she came to help me. Phew... luckily she came if not I'm not sure if I could finish on time - Thanks farizan! Anyway, we didn,t write the caption of the photos on the board and the photos were all jumbled up ><. We had to leave because the bus came early and there was actually about 50 mins left to do.....
Anyway, the results were not out today. We didn't manage to take pictures because none of us brought our cameras along. So those photos you see are those that had been taken during practises or when i was making the boards...
Good Luck Cedar Guides for the results :)
